NMSB in the Community

As a responsible company and an integral part of the local community, we care about the areas in which we operate. We recognise the value of good communication with our neighbours, and we want to actively play our part in supporting our communities as well as protecting and enhancing the local environment.

As a family business with strong core values, we do our very best not just to minimise our impacts but to give something back to local communities. We carry out a wide range of regular community support initiatives. In addition, local charities and community groups have benefitted from the donation of money, materials and time.

Our approach is to support initiatives around:

  • Education, skills, and wellbeing
  • Protecting and enhancing the environment
  • Promoting the community and heritage of the area

Please see the partnerships we have created over the years.

Directions

The Walk

It is a natural footpath, therefore uneven in places and not suitable for bikes, buggies, or mobility aids. It takes approximately 45 mins to an hour to walk around the entire route which takes you around seven lakes, all very different in topography attracting various wildlife from kingfishers to dragonflies.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads due to nesting birds surrounding the lakes. Please pick up after your dogs, bins are provided.

This is private land, therefore camping, BBQs, and picnics are not permitted. Entry to the lakes is strictly prohibited and please take your litter home.

The path is a permissive footpath which means it is privately owned by New Milton Sand and Ballast. We would kindly ask that the rules of use detailed above are followed. The path can be closed for maintenance and signs will be displayed with notice.
