Today has seen the opening of our new and improved Builder’s Merchant in New Milton.

The renovated site will provide a bigger branch with larger indoor warehouse and hardstanding yard, with improved customer parking, a separate entrance, and a much wider product range.

Across the opening week, there will be promotions and discounts, giving local trades the opportunity to save on a wide range of products, from building equipment to garden supplies.  Activities today include demos and giveaways from suppliers including Saige, Mannok, Long Rake Spar and many more. Food and drink will be provided throughout Monday, with bacon butties, coffee and burgers available, and a lucky dip will offer some instant prizes with the chance of winning items ranging from Bluetooth speakers to experience days.

We would also like to welcome Richard Froggett, as the Group’s Merchant Manager. Richard originally trained as a Quantity Surveyor/ Contracts Estimator but fell into merchanting by accident in the early 90’s and hasn’t looked back. With over 30 years’ experience working for both larger national merchants as well as many independent merchants, he also ran his own company, MSR in Winchester and Southampton.

Richard comments: “I hope to build on the great success the team have already achieved across both branches, continuing to offer fair prices but improving the services and experience the customer receives. NMSB are unique in that we are a local manufacturer, we supply everything from aggregate which we quarry, concrete which we produce and supply all other building materials that you might need, from the start to finish of a project. I am really excited with the new improvements that have been made at New Milton and look forward to meeting our customers, as well as welcoming many new ones too.”
