We finish our ‘getting to know us’ series with our Builder’s Merchants. This area of the business has gone from strength to strength over the past five years and sets us apart from any of our competitors, as an independent builder’s merchants, we are the producers of our own aggregates, sands, soils and concrete, with our own waste management facility. We can give our customers an ‘end to end’ service and as a result, many local tradespeople enjoy lower cost goods – with far less risk of shortage when sourcing stock.

Our journey started with the acquisition of W G Hibbs in New Milton back in 2009, who were well known for making their own rockface concrete blocks by hand, providing small load deliveries and selling a few slabs. After moving the operations to the front of our Caird Avenue site four years ago, we started to focus on expanding the product offering, and today we now have two branches, New Milton and a new branch on Wallisdown Road, Poole. We are open to trade and public from Monday to Saturday and our product offering now covers:

• Doors, Windows and Ironmongery

We are pleased to announce that next month we will open our new, bigger and better branch, larger indoor warehouse and hard standing yard in New Milton.

This isn’t quite the finished designs we originally presented but based on the wider events taking place around the world, with direct impacts on the UK, we felt it necessary to move things along quicker, and provide something to our customers now rather than in a years’ time. We may still improve the branch further, but for now, we are excited to welcome back our loyal customer base with an improved facility and layout.

Our New Milton branch provides ease to our customers in picking up their building supplies at the same time as their concrete and aggregates, and we will have lots of fantastic offers on landscaping and heavy build materials, our core products when we officially re-open (please note we are not closed and are still trading).
