From Strength to Strength: Expanding Our Reach and Production

To meet the increasing demand for our high-quality products, we took a major step forward last year by relocating to a significantly larger site in West Grimstead, near Salisbury. This strategic move has effectively doubled our production rates and dramatically increased both covered and outdoor product storage, giving us ample dry soil for blending! This is something our Production Manager, Paul Carter, is particularly pleased about.

"With over 10,000 tonnes of indoor capacity, the new site has been transformative," says Paul. "It’s been humbling to see the production team expand and to share our expert knowledge as a sports surface materials supplier with a new generation passionate about producing products vital to the sports and leisure sector."

Our Wareham quarry remains a vital source of premium silica sand, further guaranteeing the consistent quality that defines our product range.

2024 was also an exciting year of impactful projects. We were the sole supplier for several high-profile developments, contributing to the creation of exceptional sporting facilities. This success is a testament to the incredible team effort, where the teams seamlessly managed these multiple projects while continuing to support our existing customers.

Here are just a few highlights of the projects we were involved in:

• Premier League Football Pitch Construction: We supplied a range of materials for a major Premier League football pitch construction, including 2-6mm shingle for the base layer, 0-2mm sports sand, and a 90/10 blended soil rootzone. This project showcases our ability to provide the precise aggregates and rootzone for football pitches needed for elite-level playing surfaces.
• Golf Course Redesign and Build: We played a key role in a golf course redesign and build, supplying premium sand and our specialised 70/30 rootzone. This highlights our expertise in creating optimal growing conditions for fine turf. All our rootzones are tested and graded to ensure compliance with USGA specifications.
• Golf Course Reconstruction: For another golf course reconstruction project, we provided 2-6mm shingle and an 80/20 rootzone, demonstrating our versatility in meeting the specific needs of different golf course environments.
